My hair got me my dream job

I have had such a good week.

I turned 23 so maybe that has something to do with it, I always thought 22 would be my lucky age.

The day before my birthday I had a phone call from an agency I registered to some time last year. A PA position had come up and they wanted my permission to set up an interview for me for that week. I said yes because I did not want to miss this oppertunity but I knew for a fact the only day I would be free would be the Thursday as I had the day off to get my hair done. Saying Thursday it would have to be late Thursday because I was getting my hair done then meeting with the girls for a shopping spree. It sounded like my dream job but I knew I was only been sent for the intense interview experience.

Once I put the phone down I carried on getting excited about my birthday and wondering how my hair will look with black indian hair weaved in four rows of my hair.

Next day I got a call at 7:30.

"Hi Jodie just a quick call to ask if you will be available for the interview on Thursday at 16:30"

I couldn't believe it. It fitted in perfect. It might be just me but when things work together like that I can only think God is working out my life for me.

I had a lovely birthday day. I was in work but so was Heidi so we had our usual laughs and a few more. We were playing volley ball with a balloon while she on a call and it hit her right in her face. Her face went white from trying not to laugh. I was doubled over painfully laughing and realising I'll never grow up lol.

Marvin took me to Croma after work and I had the most beautiful, formal, exotic peri peri pizza I have ever tasted and then washed it down with amazing cocktails.

Six cocktails later we sat on my bed blowing drying my hair with the hair dryer work got me for me Its the ones with combs attched to smoth it out at the same time. I'd say straighten but it takes a lot more to tame this mane. I was having my hair done the next day and I was so excited. I know its quite upsetting to talk about but this was going to be the second time in my 23 years of life that I was going to the hairdressers so you can imagine how excited I was.

I got up really early to tidy round and straighten my hair, yet I was still rushing around ( mothers) I got to the hairdressers and after a couple of hours walked out with a new confidence feeling really groomed.

us girlies went shopping and I found my birthday dress staright away. It jus fitted perfect and felt perfect. I didn't even look at another dress for the whole spree.

Before I knew it, it was time to set off to my "interview experience".
I go there half an hour later. I sat in the waiting room feeling very very nervous. All the employees looked very executive and succesful and I just felt like an inexperienced little girl

Felt my phone buzz: Hope you are on your way n hope it goes well for you and remember you can do the job so jus b confident in yourself and make sure you show them you can do it. I think that sxc hair might just give it the edge babe x

I wiped my sweaty hands on the itch chair I was say on and smothed down my grey suit trousers and spanish style blouse.

Two relaxed looking women came to greet me at and led me to a room where they interegated me for 1hr 30 mins. It was very intense but I came out feeling more confident than when I went in. They told me they would contact the agency first thing in the morning.

First thing in the morning I was comforting my litte biy as he has was really ill and burning up. My phone rang and I got up to answer it. I could not hear anything because as kayden had started screaming because I was not cuddling him no more. I gave him his dummy and apologised to my agent

" Oh don't worry I've been there before, mine have grown up now so I tell them to shut up and go away. Anyway i have good news for you. I just had a call from Shell International and they thought you were fantastic. They said they had interviewed so many experienced PA's but you really stood out to them and they would like you to start next week. No she did'nt take a breathe and I was so shocked I was silent.

This job pays GOOOOD money and has so many benefits but beside that I will get fantastic experience and love my job.

I'm so so happy I really am
